Helping Hands is a touching permanent tribute to the sad events that occurred on the 12th of July 1901, when four men who worked at the Nicholson's Gin Distillery died trying to save each other.

Thomas Pickett - 26 years old
Godfrey Nicholson - 29 years old
George Frederick - 35 years old
Robert Arthur Underhill - 24 years old

The statue of clasped hands was erected one hundred years after the tragic event.
